Countries: Entity Definition

Many organizations may only need to set up the United States and the default country, but if your organization is global you can create save country information so that when a country is applied to a records information address fields and phone formatting will be correct.

 

GENERAL

  • Name - Name of the country.
  • ISO Alpha-2 Code - ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes are two letter county codes defined in ISO 3166-1, part of the ISO3166 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
  • ISO Alpha-3 Code - ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 codes are three letter county codes defined in ISO 3166-1, part of the ISO3166 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
  • Calling Code - The phone code for the country. 
  • Default Country - Flag to indicate if this is the default country. An organization can only have 1 default country.

REQUIRED VALIDATION

  • Street 1 - Street.
  • City - City.
  • State/Province - Flag to indicate whether State/Province is required for this country. this flag is used for address validation both within CRM and on the portal. 
  • Zip/Postal Code -  Flag to indicate whether Zip/Postal Code is required for this country. this flag is used for address validation both within CRM and on the portal. 

FORMATTING

  • Phone/Fax Format - Regular expression used to validate the Phone/Fax for this country. This allow the organization to control the validation both within CRM and on the portal. 
  • Phone/Fax Message - Validation message displayed in CRM and on the portal if Phone/Fax does not match the format for the country.
  • Zip/Postal Code Format: Regular expression used to validate the Zip/Postal Code for this country. This allow the organization to control the validation both within CRM and on the portal. 
  • Zip/Postal Code Message:  Validation message displayed in CRM and on the portal if Zip/Postal Code does not match the format for the country.

STATES/PROVINCES

  • Toolbar where you can view and/or create states/provinces associated with the country. You do not need to include all of them if you only do business in one or two.
