Missing Description Text on Classes, Meetings or Other Portal Pages

If you created a class, meeting or other page with descirption text, but it doesn't show up, there are two things to check.

1. Portal Page Cache

Depending on the refresh setting in your CRM it can take as long as an hour for a page to show changes. This time can be shortened to a few minutes (typically 5) on request without noticeably affecting performance.

2. Pasting from Word

Pasting from Word

Word contains many special codes you can't see without looking at the source code on your page, and although they look like web code, they're just different enough to confuse a browser. When pasting from Word, look for a button on the WSYWIG editor's toolbar with either a "W" or a "T" on it. These will take off the extra code and leave your text in place.
