Create Dashboards

Dashboards provide users with a way to display important data all in one place. System Dashboards can be created in customizations/unmanaged solutions for all users to access, or you can create a personal dashboard which will only be accessible to you and anyone you share it with.

  • Chart: A chart allows the user to graphically present data from a CRM view as a Pie, Vertical Bar, Horizontal Bar, Funnel or Line graph. Available charts will include those already created as part of the solution and personal charts if the dashboard is a personal dashboard.
  • List: A list allows the user to display the data from a CRM view. Different views from different entities can be displayed in a single area. Available views will include those already created as part of the solution and personal views if the dashboard is a personal dashboard.
  • iFrame: Allows the user to insert external websites or web applications into the dashboard. An iFrame can be used to embed a dashboard within a dashboard.
  • Web Resource: Allows the user to insert static web content. This includes web page (HTML), images (JPG, PNG, GIF, ICO), and Silverlight (XAP). This differs from an iFrame because the web content is updated into the CRM database as a web resource before being invoked into the dashboard.

Save the Dashboard

For a system Dashboard make sure to Publish your changes to make it available to everyone

If you make updates to a system dashboard you will also need to publish changes so that everyone sees the updated version.

If you want to make changes to or share personal dashboard you can do so with menu options in the toolbar of the dashboard itself
